Dont Spend Tomorrow's Money Today

Saving money is a concept that has been so hard for me to learn. I recently received a new credit card in the mail, and what was the first thing I did... u guessed it, went shopping. Afterward I thought, why would someone send this to me knowing that I am already a broke ass college student?

What's more difficult is sticking to a budget. A couple months ago I decided that I was going to start saving at least 20 percent of all my income. Since then, how much do u think I saved... again u guessed it.... absolutely nothing at all. Yeah, Ive helped out the economy by taking advantage of all the major sales, but I have done nothing to help myself for my future.

So this is the new plan- Im going to be more diligent on working toward my goals. I decided to not only start saving the 20% but also take two days outta every week where I dont spend any money at all. This should help me to not go into my savings to buy extra stuff, hopefully. Well, I will keep yall updated on my efforts.

If you have any tips or suggestions to help stick to a budget, I would love to hear about em.

Fixing a Crooked Line Up

Many times i have either gone to the barber shop or have done my own lining and it has come out less than perfect. Instead of walking around with a due rag or a cap on for a week i learned how to quickly fix this problem with makeup while making it look so natural that the mistake and cover up was undetectable.

What i use... Mascara

Mascara, just like it can build up your lashes, can also create a natural hair effect if stippled to the skin because it creates texture. And we have all noticed the texture when it clumps up on our lashes. The same technique can also be used to create beard hair or hair anywhere that u would like it to be.

Cleaning up edges is a chinch with cream concealer and a precise, stiff concealer brush like MAC's 195. This particular brush is so great because it is tapered to a point which allows an artist to draw exactly what he wants, exactly where he wants.

dont forget to always powder over anyplace that you apply makeup to make the area look more like skin and to stay in place for a longer time. After powdering, you can also spray a little oil sheen to give a healthy shine or use a she laq product to ensure that it stays all day.

Ditch the Fashion Pimp

I was on the train one day when the cutest girl got on the train and sat right beside me and everything that i was thinking about stopped and focused on what or who in this world made her put that on? I didnt know if it was a practical joke, if she lost a bet, doing a horrible dare, or if she got dressed in the dark. And to make the outfit even worse (which im not even going to describe because some focus on only negative energy and miss the overall picture) she had on a curly phony pony that was a totally different texture and color from the rest of her hair.... While in the process of trying to analyze what made her put that on, I fell into the realization that some actually can go through life, living for themselves, not caring about the way they look or what they have on. This came as such a shock to me because most of us are fashion's whores, doing anything to impress our pimp. Can a person actually survive without having a pimp to tell them what to do, to take care of them, and to make them feel happy? I guess I found my prof that yes, it's possible. I decided right then to transition from a lifestyle revolving around an (usually failed) attempt to satisfy the "norm," the majority, or what others may think is best, to living based on myself and accepting others for being who they are. Can anyone tell me, How is your life without the Fashion Pimp guiding you around under collar and leash?

Beauty - fact or fiction?

I think its beautiful to have a conversation with a person while u hold their hand and look into their eyes. What's more beautiful is a smile with clean, pearly teeth showing while having an intimate conversation. Beauty is a concept - an idea. Which means that it can only exist within your own mind. I think its interesting to know what other people feel is beautiful. would u mind tellin me, What is beauty to you?
